Our sales team consists of experienced and certified professionals that have been selling trucks for many years. They are not just salesmen, but trusted advisors that can help you to make the best decisions when acquiring trucks for your business. The sales support team are all capable professionals that work hard to make the customer’s buying experience positive and pleasant. Our primary mission is to remarket trucks that have been traded to Freightliner by America’s largest and most reputable fleets.

Lyn Owens, Sales Representative

Lyn Owens

Lyn has been around trucking and agriculture all of his life. Born and raised in McDonough, GA, he is a hometown guy. Lyn’s family has a long history in farming and agribusiness in Henry County. As a result, Lyn worked for many years in the family’s seed and fertilizer business. This is where his trucking roots were developed. Because of Lyn’s love of farming and trucking, he joined Atlanta Freightliner in 1996, and helped open SelecTrucks of Atlanta in 1997. He has been here ever since.

Lyn is best known for being very helpful with his customers. He is very well known and respected in this area, and he knows just about everyone in the trucking business for miles around. During his time at SelecTrucks, Lyn has become a Certified Sales Expert, and has been among the top salesmen in the Select organization for many years.

Lyn’s interests are collecting John Deere memorabilia, Ag Farm toys, and truck replicas. He keeps part of his collection in his office at work. He also enjoys attending auctions around the country, attempting to add to his collection. He and his wife JoAnn run a small cattle and hay farm in their spare time. Their hobbies include fishing, hunting, and watching movies.

Courtnay Beckham, Sales Representative

Courtnay Beckham

Courtnay is a native of Atlanta, GA. She graduated from Clayton State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1990. Since then, she has spent her entire career in sales- starting with working for Polo/Ralph Lauren and then moving to Electronics. She has been in the Trucking Industry for 22 years and has been with SelecTrucks of Atlanta for the last 18 years. She is very highly respected in the industry as her tenacity and energy for learning and growing is contagious and has helped her develop a large successful customer base from all over the country. WIT-Women in Trucking Association named Courtnay one of their TOP WOMEN TO WATCH in 2019.

Courtnay loves what she does, and all of her customers are part of what she calls her extended family. The relationships that she has formed, the care that she gives to her customers and her passion for helping people achieve their goals are what you find when working with Courtnay. Courtnay has continuously been a top performer nationally for the past 20 years it has been honored with the number one position many times in a SelecTrucks network. She strives to perform at the level that reflects excellence in everything that she does. She is earned presidents club owners and century club owners year after year.

Courtnay and her husband Jay have been married for 27 years and have two beautiful daughters and a new grandbaby. Courtnay has a passion for health and strives daily to help people learn and change their lives through proper food and life choices. Don’t be surprised if she offers you some fruit while you are purchasing a truck. Courtnay also has a strong love for working with kids. She has volunteered her time in many different capacities and is taught Sunday school at her church for 20+ years and also sings in the choir. She is highly involved in truckers against trafficking and make sure all her customers are informed and aware of these issues. You may also find her searching for treasures at a local thrift store, antique shop or garage sale as she loves to hunt for treasure. Her favorite places to be are camping, on a lake or just relaxing in nature!

Bill Swedelson, Sales Representative

Bill Swedelson

A native new yorker, Bill is a graduate of the university of Miami with a BA in advertising photography. Bill began his professional career as a photographer in New York City working for some well known production studios. After 2 years behind the cameras, Bill moved over to the food and beverage industry where he worked in sales and management for over 21 years and helped build names like evian and pellegrino waters along with vitamin water and naked juice into what they are today. After working for distributors and manufacturers, Bill made a move to have his own food and beverage distributorship and along with the support of his wife of almost 40 years, built it from the ground up and sold it in the matter of 3 years.

In 2003, after many years fighting the snow in the northeast, Bill moved his family to the south side of the metro atlanta area and joined the SelecTrucks of Atlanta team as a sales representative. Although very different from the food and beverage industry business that he was accustomed to, the fundamentals of sales are quite the same, as bill caught on to the trucking business very quickly. In fact, Bill has become one the top producing SelecTrucks salespeople in the nation. He was honored over 8 times presidents club and winners circle award winner and multiple times century club winner as the top performer in the DTR SelecTrucks network. Bill’s care and concern for his customers has helped him achieve these results. Bill has maintained his core group of loyal customers over the years and continues to help them achieve their goals and dreams.

Bill and his family reside in the south side of the metro Atlanta area near their grown kids and grandchildren. Bill is an avid sports fan and although surrounded by Georgia Bulldog fans, Bill continues to support his Hurricanes and the teams from his native New York. He and his wife Pam have adapted well to the slower southern lifestyle and enjoy spending time with their family and childhood friends of 50 plus years that reside in the same town.

Nathan Gordon, Sales Representative

Nathan Gordon

Nathan is a solid industry veteran and will bring his 14 years of successful selling experience to our team. He previously sold new and used trucks for vanguard Truck Center and Nalley Motor Trucks. Nathan started his transportation career as a parts delivery driver for Peach State Freightliner in 1998. He attended Gordon College where he earned a degree in business law and finance. Nathan and his wife reside in Locust Grove with their four children.

DW Miles, Center Manager

DW Miles

DW is a native of Columbus, Ohio with 30 years of experience in the transportation industry. DW earned a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University with a major in Accounting. He started his transportation career with Penske Truck Leasing as a District Controller in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the years DW held various positions of increasing responsibility with Penske. After relocating to Atlanta in 1998, he was promoted to District Manager overseeing multiple locations with responsibility for revenue growth, operations and P/L results. Later in his Penske Career he took over the role of Remarketing Manager for the Mid-South Area, responsible for the marketing and disposal of Penske’s used trucks. DW’s last role with Penske was Sr. Manager-Retail Truck Sales, where he opened Penske’s 3rd Retail Truck Center nationally in the Atlanta market. He was twice selected for Penske’s Presidents Club for distinguished achievements.

DW joined the SelecTrucks of Atlanta team in December of 2018, and serves as the Center Manager.

DW and his wife Felicia have two children and seven grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandkids. DW is a huge Ohio State “Buckeye” fan and enjoys a good game of golf when time permits.

Christopher Cassidy, Finance and Insurance Manager

Christopher Cassidy

Chris settled in Georgia at the end of 2017, after moving from South Florida with his family. He was born and raised in the Carolinas, graduating from Coastal Carolina University with a B.B.A. in Finance. He started his career in the financial services industry, where he served in various roles ranging from analyst positions to accounting, and even portfolio management. Eventually, Chris found himself in the world of equipment finance, where he worked closely with the Finance Manger at one of the largest commercial and Class 8 truck dealers in the Southeast.

Chris’ background and experience in financial analysis, and the financial services sector, has provided a solid foundation that enables a better understanding of equipment finance and the credit underwriting process. Chris consistently works diligently for, and with, his customers and his peers. He takes joy in speaking with customers, getting to know who they are and helping to build long-lasting relationships.

Chris and his wife have four children and a Goldendoodle named Lady. They have lived in the metro Atlanta area since moving to Georgia. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and making music. He is an Atlanta Braves baseball fan and enjoys watching them play when he gets the opportunity. Chris is also an active investor, with a passion for reading and learning about different businesses and their industries.


Jeff Wilkerson, Service Manager

Jeff Wilkerson

Jeff was introduced to trucking at a very early age, as both of his parents were truck drivers. As a young child, Jeff’s family moved around quite a bit, but they finally settled down in the Atlanta area when he was in his early teenage years. One of Jeff’s first jobs while in high school was detailing trucks at the JB Hunt terminal in Forest Park. When he graduated, he took a job as a trailer mechanic at the same terminal, and eventually learned how to work on diesel engines. He worked on the floor for about five years, and then became a shop foreman. After 14 years at JB Hunt, Jeff took a job as a service manager at the local Peterbilt dealer, and was there a few years.

In August of 2017, Jeff joined the SelecTrucks team as Service Manager. He actually works for Peach State Freightliner, who operates the shop at SelecTrucks of Atlanta. Jeff is responsible for the certification and reconditioning of several hundred trucks a year at the SelecTrucks shop. Just recently, Jeff has also become responsible for the Peach State Truck Center’s shop in Byron, GA, just South of Macon.

Jeff and his wife have been married for five years, and they are the parents of a beautiful daughter. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, and can often be found on a local golf course!

Lanya Lewis, Sales Coordinator / Brand Ambassador

Lanya Lewis

Lanya was born and raised in Monroe County, GA. She graduated from Mary Persons HS in 1996 & attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where she majored in Livestock Health. She also attended Liberty University where she graduated with a BS in Business Administration in 2015.

She joined the Peach State Team in July of 2016 as a Sales Coordinator in Norcross where she handled titling for several major fleets, as well as many retail customers. In late 2018, she transferred to SelecTrucks where she continues to serve as Sales Coordinator & the newly appointed Brand Ambassador for the SelecTrucks Brand.

Lanya and her husband, Clark, have been married for 21 years and reside in Griffin. They have 2 beautiful children and 1 wonderful grandchild. Their interests include riding 4 wheelers in the mud & serving in various roles in their church. Lanya is also a member of 30th GA Co. E and enjoys attending historical reenactments all around the Southeastern US.

Rachel Simmons, Inventory Control Coordinator

Rachel Simmons

Rachel was raised in Jackson Georgia and has been around trucks all of her life. Her family owned and operated their own trucking company. Rachel got her CDL license at a very young age and drove for the family business for many years. She eventually ventured out on her own and bought her own truck. From that very experience she gained valuable knowledge about trucks and the trucking industry. She later became a Broker, Dispatcher, and Operations Manager for a South Carolina trucking company. Subsequently, she rejoined the family trucking company as they transitioned into a driveway company that moved trucks and buses for dealers. She traveled all over the United States moving trucks for their clients.

In May of 2016, Rachel was ready to sleep in her own bed every night and joined the SelecTrucks of Atlanta team as the Inventory Control Coordinator. In that role, she is involved in every step of the acquisition, reconditioning, display, marketing and delivery of all of their used trucks. She is part of the “behind the curtain” team that makes the purchase of a truck at SelecTrucks of Atlanta a very unique and special experience!

Rachel has three children and two beautiful grandchildren that she loved dearly. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hanging out on their pontoon boat at Jackson Lake, and watching her two favorite football teams, the George Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons!
